Graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1978, Paul Slater is best known for his uniquely eccentric view of British character.

Listed by the Independent on Sunday as one of the UK's top 10 leading illustrators, Paul's recent projects include work for El Camion restaurant in Soho, a large scale painted mural, commissioned by Tom Conran for The Cow in Notting Hill, and works hung at The Union Club in London's West End.

Since 1990 Paul's darkly humorous works have been seen every weekend in Giles Coren's Eating Out column in the Saturday Times. Paul's works are also regularly exhibited at The Medici Gallery, The Royal Portrait Society, The Cutter Gallery in Florida, and also The Saatchi Gallery, where Paul was short-listed as a finalist in the Art of Giving competition.
